Pourquoi Pas features Mireille Gotsis on vocals/guitar, James Lucal on gypsy violin and New York jazz veteran Frank Clayton on bass and drums. We play as a duo, trio or a quartet. Our Paris-to-Seattle band sprang from a common love for French jazz and gypsy swing. Our songbook draws from Edith Piaf, Django Reinhardt, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Henri Salvador and other superheros, plus our own compositions in the French jazz tradition.
